Easy Arkarium Strategy (flyknight2’s version)

December 20, 2013 Leave a comment

Easy Arkarium is 10 times more easier than Normal Arkarium. Putting Easy Arkarium to death is not much of a problem. Still, many does not know of the strategy to reduce or avoid death.

1. The Mobs

MAPLESTORY 2013-12-19 22-20-50-509Arkarium summons his mobs to heal him. Taking them out first if a great idea because they heals Arkarium every second. The more mobs he summons, the more HP he will heal. That means you’ll face a lot of problem to defeat him.

2. Damage Reflection (DR)

ark1

Damage reflection is casted randomly by Arkarium, it is one of the main cause of death. He either casts Cancel Weapon Attack, Cancel Magic Attack, or Damage Reflection. There is no specific timing for it so keep your eyes peeled to see when he casts Damage Reflection. Remember, his damage reflection has high damage.

Below are some guide to overcome damage reflection:

  • Hero, Dark Knight, Paladin: Use Magic Crash whenever the DR animation appears, this will prevent him from casting it.
  • Xenon: Using Easy’s System should help in doing some damage.
  • Demon Avenger: If you’re bored, just use Inhale Vatality to hit some “1” damage.
  • Phantom: Using Vol D’ Ame can steal his DR.
  • Kaiser: Whenever Kaiser’s Majesty/Final Form/Final Trance is used, just continue hitting.
  • Others: Just stop attacking.

3. Pain Enhancers

ark2

There are times when you saw this on top of your head. I’m not sure what it does but I can ensure it enhances the damage you receive. Not curing it can be trouble when caring your HP. Using All-Cure Potions will not do the trick. Only the potions dropped by the mobs summoned by Arkarium will do the trick. Pick one up, then say bye bye to the status.

4. Instant Death

ark3

Arkarium got 1 skill that will immediately kill everyone in the room. Some managed to avoid them but most do not. By doing the proper way and counting the proper time will do the trick.

Firstly, Bishops can protect themselves or others by using Holy Magic Shell or Heaven’s Door. While Phantom can survive once with Final Feint.

MAPLESTORY 2013-12-19 22-20-35-526

When fighting, always notice Arkarium’s HP bar. Because by hitting his HP to around 70-80% will make him trigger the first instant death. After he triggers the first instant death, he will use another and another at an interval of 1 minute 30 seconds (more or less).

MAPLESTORY 2013-12-19 22-23-24-937

As his HP drops to around 45-50%, it will trigger another instant death (regardless of the 1 minute 30 seconds) and initiate the “law-breaker”. Law-breaker simply means it breaks the law above. He changes the way he triggers it. Instead of 1 minute 30 seconds, he changes it to 1 minute.

MAPLESTORY 2013-12-19 22-28-32-504

Also, when his HP reaches around 30%, he will use another instant death (also regardless with the above laws). Then, he will said “you must be dangerous one… I am going to do my best for this fight”. As he said this, he will trigger another instant death after a few seconds. Then, every instant death goes back to 1 minute intervals. So if you died due to instant death with this situation appearing, do not respawn first, wait for it to use the second one instead so you can save your death count and EXP.

MAPLESTORY 2013-12-19 22-22-51-294

How to avoid you ask me. Well, there are also laws to this. First of all, Arkarium’s position is the key to success the trick. Notice the picture above, Arkarium’s max position from the right is that spot. If he goes any further to the left, it is hopeless for you to survive instant deaths. Note, pushing/pulling does not work on Arkarium.

Once that is done, just simply move to the left corner of the map once it uses the Instant Death skill. But this is not an easy task. The instant death has a very quick effect. Different classes have different mobility. The only way I can say is you must have practice to know when to start running to the left. Because Phantom is the only one fast enough to run away. Other classes all will face problems with running.

End

I guess that is all I can say. Good luck and enjoy bossing!

MapleSEA Justice – Liberation of Azwan

December 5, 2012 Leave a comment

Maple0003

Story

Azwan is an ancient underground city beneath the Nihal Desert. It was recently rediscovered by the Cygnus Knights, following the attempt by its leader, Hilla, to usurp Empress Cygnus’ throne.

Hundreds of years ago, Azwan was a beautiful and thriving metropolis. The beautiful and powerful Hilla, who was a chief sharmaness, craved more power. In exchange for eternal power, youth and beauty, she betrayed her city to become a commander under Black Mage.

She took control of Azwan and used necromancy to revive its dead population as minions in her army. She lined the city with giant, magical totems to recapture the souls of her fallen forces so they could returnagain.

The obelisk that serves as the entrance to Azwan has recently reappeared in the desert and has come under investigation by the Cygnus Knights. Brave adventurers can join the fight, leading forces from Ereve in their battle to defeat Hilla’s army and free the enslaved souls of the citizens of Azwan.

Requirements

  1. Be level 40 or higher.
  2. Move to Azwan lobby via Mirror of Dimension.

MapleStory 2012-12-05 21-38-25-481

MapleSEA Justice: Mysterious Thief Phantom

November 13, 2012 Leave a comment

Background

Phantom was famous among the wealthy merchants and noblemen. He deliberately left traces after each steal but even then, people did not know who he was so they called him the “Phantom”.

Phantom was honored throughout Maple World. However, the death of Aria(the Empress before Cygnus), forced him to join the Heroes to seek revenge on the Black Mage. He had fallen in love with Aria while attempting to steal the great treasure of Ereve.

He sought out one of the heroes, Freud, for an invitation to join and was accepted to be one of the Heroes to fight against the Black Mage.

After a fierce battle, Phantom, together with the other four heroes, sealed away the Black Mage and saved Maple World. However, due to the curse inflicted by the Black Mage, all the Heroes, except Freud who died in the battle, were trapped in ice and went into a deep slumber.

A hundred years later, Phantom woke up from the curse. He infiltrated Ereve, where a meeting was in progress. Hilla, a commander of the Black Wings, posed as an Empress by presenting a Skaia (a jewel said to glow in the hands of the Empress) that glowed in her hands but did not glow in Cygnus’s.

^ Hilla comes in

Luckily, Phantom came to the rescue. He declared the Skaia held by Hilla a fake and destroyed it, saying that he had the real Skaia. That prompted Hilla to back off and flee from Ereve, but not before she told him that Maple World was already in “his” (the Black Mage) hands. Phantom then gave Cygnus the real Skaia and returned to Crystal Garden.

Short guide to Zen: 4th Job Advancement

November 7, 2012 14 comments

Here is a short guide to Zen’s 4th job advancement:

  • Once you reach level 120, you will receive a quest for Aide. Accept that quest and head to the Nautilus. Then, find and talk to Aide.
  • Aide will tell you to go to Magatia to get 2 Weird Clue from Homunscullo, loot the green powder it drops. It is the item you will need. Once you collected everything, head back to Nautilus and find Aide.
  • Next, you will be told to head to Mu Lung to find 10 Memory Clues. Get them from Sage Cat, loot the purple powder it drops. Find Aide again when you’re done.
  • After that, Aide will ask you to go to Leafre to find 10 Imporant Clues. You can hunt them from Black Kentaurus. The drop rates are quite low for this one. The quest item is white powder. Return to Nautilus and talk to Aide when you’re finish collecting them.
  • This time, Aide needs you to go to Mu Lung again. But this time she give you an item, use this at the map Entrance to Sky Forest (First map at the left of Mu Lung, map filled with Chipmunks). Then, you will be teleported to another map with a boss in it. Kill it and return to Nautilus.

There will be a short storyline here, just continue talking and you will be advanced to 4th job.

It’s a great idea to plan your journey 🙂

Good luck!

Justice – Beginning of the Retaliation (Zen)

Background

ZEN’s father, Zhi Zun was the Commander of the Hong Wu Troupe. He was responsible for protecting the safety of the Emperor with his expertise in martial arts. The story began from an ordinary training day for ZEN.

ZEN was training very hard, hoping that one day he would be as powerful as his father.

One day, Zhi Zun sent his capable assistant, Suha, to train his son.

After a long period of training, ZEN returned home thinking that his skills had improved significantly. However, he could not find any signs of Suha and his father at home. At that instant moment of his panic, Suha appeared with serious injuries.

Suha did not tell ZEN what had happened but asked him to run away immediately. ZEN was so worried about his father that he rushed out and started shouting for the latter.

While ZEN was out looking for his father, he discovered that the Palace was in total chaos. Suddenly, he heard sounds of a huge fight in the distance, and ran toward the source, thinking that his father would be there.

Upon reaching the scene of combat, ZEN saw his father fighting a figure that looked like the Emperor.

The Emperor seemed like he was being controlled by an unknown dark force.

After an exchange of blows, the Emperor realised that Zhi Zun was too powerful. At that very moment, he saw ZEN running into the battle. Thinking that ZEN was a better target, the Emperor targeted him instead.

Seeing that his son’s life was in danger, Zhi Zun used himself to shield ZEN from the Emperor’s attack.

The Emperor’s attack injured Zhi Zun severely, and Zhi Zun could not continue with the battle. Realising that his son was in a grave situation, Zhi Zun ordered Suha to escape with ZEN.

Knowing that ZEN was unwilling to leave without his father, Suha had to lie to ZEN that Zhi Zun would be joining them later. It was upon hearing this that ZEN agreed to leave.

When they reached the boat, Suha confessed to ZEN that Zhi Zun had died during the fight and tasked her to give a chest to ZEN. Suha said that within the chest, ZEN will be able to obtain the power needed for revenge and that it was up to him to keep it safe.

As the boat sailed away, they encountered a horrible storm in the sea and the boat almost sunk. Luckily, they ran into Kyrin and she rescued ZEN and Suha.

Surviving the fate of death on the sea, Zen’s journey to avenge his father’s death begins….
